I have been using Bare Essentials (Bare Minerals) for 3 years now and I love it. I asked for this makeup for my Christmas 3 years ago. It is very light and soft and looks like you have no make up on. Just makes your face look pretty, not cakey & I don't get a make up streak on the side of my face. You can buy it online at www.Sephora.com (free returns too! if you don't like it) or go to an Ulta Makeup store or buy it on their website. The mineral foundation is about $24 (depending on the brushes that you use it is foundation and your concealer) and the Mineral Veil (helps cut back on oil & makes your face look more finished-I put this on before my foundation and after my foundation and blush) is about $20 & for my blush I use 'Glee' and it is $19. It takes a long time to finish these items. So don't be scared off by the prices. You can buy a starter kit with all of these items plus more for about $60, or less sometimes if on sale. I have light brown hair, fair skin and blue eyes, so with my foundation color I use 'fairly light'. That might be the way to go for you too. Give it a try! You'll love it. :)

Makeup is kinda a personal thing. You need to match it to your skin tone, and play around with what you like. Unless you always get the exact same colours and brands, I wouldn't ever put makeup on a Christmas list. Try asking for perfume, nail polish, or hair products. You could also ask for a gift certificate for Sephora or another make up store you frequent.

Sorry!
