My Kitty is Wild! Have any idea's to calm him down?
okay so i just got a new kitty. this is a 1st in about 7 years. He's a little over 4months old. and he's wild, he runs around non stop he's chewing on every thing. fighting with every thing. he beating up the dog. pulling down plants and anything he can get his paws on. its like he's got ants in in his little grey pants. I've tried being calm with him, locking him up in his "time out box" (kitty carrier). But no luck. So if you could share any ideas to help, that would be great. Thank you 
oh, i've had him for a about month now, and he's just getts wild and wilder every day.
i'm not going to get rid of him, and he will be getting a brother the end of this week. i can handle badness in a kitty. i know what they are all about, its just i haven't had a young cat in so long. i just didn't remember them being so bad. 
Ah, kittens are delightful, but they are also a handful. You probably didn't expect a ball of energy. That's what kittens are - a ball of energy. They explore - climb - hide - and get into things that they shouldn't. I averaged about an hour's worth of sleep when my cat was a kitten. Playing with the kitten is a great idea. Having him run and jump will help tire him out. You might want to think about getting a second kitten. Often, the two play off each other. If you can, set aside one room for the kitten(s).
