Romantic love is a force field but is pretty much a hormonal thing. You are so lustful for the other person that you do not foresee future problems nor do you care. You make real love stay by understanding that the PBA's of romantic love go away...at least for the current person. You can either chase the hormones or opt to stay and work out your differences. Real love is a true friendship and the end result is a life companion. You must be committed to yourself first for if you cannot understand or want to understand yourself, you will never understand another human. I have been with my partner for 20 years and it has been one h... of a hard time to remain committed. In remaining committed, I have learned hard truths about myself.
